BOOK REVIEW: " Malcolm (The Alphas #1)" by Jessica Cage

image

In a werewolf pack, the Alpha's word is law, even when that word is to order the excommunication of his second in command.
Malcolm, said Beta, is now on the run, hunted by other members of his old pack, and it's now informed that Vincent, his ex-Alpha, has truly lost his mind, and even locks up his very own sister!
Calling on an old favor, Malcolm must decide if he can help the pack that, just a day ago, had waned to kill him. And what role, exactly, will the werewolves' mortal enemies, the vampires, play in this?

In an exciting filled with danger and sex, what we really have, when we boil it all down, is a story about a man in love. It's a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, because the woman whom Malcolm loved was a human, not a paranormal creature, and they weren't allowed to be together.
It's sad and even a little moving, and a great backstory to a thrilling paranormal ride created by Ms. Jessica Cage.
I liked Mara the best, and hope that a sequel is written from the point of view of the vampires!
Good characters and even better potential for many more books to be written! This is a great story with a lot of thought put into it.

5/5--great potential!
