COMIC BOOK REVIEW: "San Hannibal #3: Men of Gilded Fortune

image

Writer/Artist: Dan Schkade
Colors/Letters: Jesse Snavlin
Cover: Ibrahim Moustafa
Editor: PJ Perez
Publisher: Pop Goes The Icon

In the third installment of the critically acclaimed comic book San Hannibal, PI Ira Avery has advanced his search for missing photojournalist Savannah Loy and taken himself only potentially dangerous territory: a country club where the mayor runs the show.
But danger threatens Avery and he may never leave this place alive. With rabbits in the moon, crooked politicians and secrets galore, San Hannibal #3 is a treat for the senses!

This series is unique and engaging. This issue's color theme is sunflower yellow, mixing in the previous colors of robin's egg blue and neon pink, and the bright colors are a stark contrast to the dark story, with kidnapping, murder and human trafficking at its core.
I am very picky about my comics. I only read about four at the moment, but I love this one! It's original and plays out like an old-fashioned gangster movie or crime novel.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the future of comic books!

5/5--awesome!
