Genre: Paranormal Romance

Entangled Select Otherworld

ASIN: B014CR0OES

About the Book:

Dr. Jason Ayers unleashes all of his rage and his frustration through fists and brute force in an underground boxing ring. The werewolf may be the pack’s doctor, but he can’t even heal his coma-stricken father after the Nero Organization’s attack stopped his heart. And as his Pack brothers settle down around him, he still refuses to believe in the fairy tale notion that every wolf has a true mate...

In hiding and on the run, nurse Kilani Akamu is a loose end that Nero is desperate to tie up. She can't afford to be attracted to a doctor—especially one as unexpectedly hot and complex as Jason. Yet the sexual sparks arcing between them are undeniable...and Kilani's precognitive senses warn her that temptation is inevitable.

All it takes is one touch to send Jason's wolf howling. But even if he could protect her from Nero, he can't protect her from himself...

After what seemed like a very long wait, I finally got my hands on the newest book from Lisa Kessler. To say she is one of my favorite authors is an understatement: her stories are always heartwarming, exciting, and well-written, but I think that Harvest Moon stepped it up.
I am very afraid to admit that I like the Moon Series better than the Night Series. Why? The characters. I love Adam's Pack, each member is so wonderfully strong, masculine and at the same time so sweet and vulnerable. Kessler isn't afraid to write sensitive men who are in tune with their mates, who love them and put them before everything. They might be burly, strong werewolves, but they are also such kind lovers with huge hearts.
Jason is a paradox in himself, filled with anger and guilt that makes him run to an illegal boxing ring and beat the living daylights out of his opponents. Yet, when he meets Kilani, a headstrong nurse and his mate, he is so protective and kind, it's like seeing an entire different side of him. While Gareth is still my favorite Pack member, Jason is a close second (I like guys who get dirty and scrappy, like he does).
Kilani is a psychic, who has connections with Nadya (from Blood Moon) and Nero. She is a little bitchy, very damaged and so tough, despite being a "mere human". I love her!
It is the secret that Sebastian holds that could make or break the Pack, something that was mentioned way back in Moonlight), that will really make you sit up and pay attention. While some things in this book were very predictable, this was something that I actually didn't guess.
I am trying not to ramble, and also not ti give too much away. I just really loved reading this book. I giggled, I gasped, I sighed, and I even cried. It was an emotional story, even more so than the three previous books in the series.
The romance was not overdone, and that's why I like Kessler's work. It is character and plot driven, it doesn't need an abundance of sex on every page to make it enjoyable. It's the same reason I like to read Rue Volley's work. Her characters are not characters: they are friends. They are fully developed and feel so real. I feel as if I know each of them personally.

To end this, just know that you will not regret picking up Harvest Moon. It's one of the best books released this year!
