BOOK REVIEW: "If I'm Found" by Terri Blackstock

In this riveting sequel to the USA TODAY bestseller If I Run, evil lurks, drawing Casey out of the shadows . . . but there is light shining in the darkness.

Casey Cox is still on the run, fleeing prosecution for a murder she didn’t commit. Dylan Roberts—her most relentless pursuer—is still on her trail, but his secret emails insist he knows the truth and wants to help her. He’s let her escape before when he had her in his grasp, but trust doesn’t come easily.

As Casey works to collect evidence about the real murderers, she stumbles on another unbearable injustice: an abused child and a suicidal man who’s also been falsely accused. Casey risks her own safety to right this wrong and protect the little girl from her tormenters. But doing so is risky and may result in her capture—and if she’s captured, she has no doubt she’ll be murdered before she ever steps foot in a jail cell.

I received an ARC from the publicist in exchange for an honest review.

So, I read a lot of Christian fiction lately. Surprising, huh? It was to me, but every time Smith Publicity (no relation, I swear!) sends me a new ARC, I fall more and more in love with the genre. Never in a million years would I have thought that you could have a Christian suspense thriller and make it work, but this story was excellent!
Despite being book two in a series, you can read it as a standalone, but reading book one first is recommended. I think what I liked best was that Casey was an easy to get to know lead character. I liked getting in her head and following her journey trying to prove herself innocent of murders she didn't commit.
The story moved so quickly I didn't realize the book was over. And I immediately wanted more. That's what a good book SHOULD do. And it's partly a cliffhanger, so bring on the next one in March 2018!

5/5--excellent, fast-paced, and exciting.
