I am currently not accepting new clients to review. If you are a repeat blog patron please feel free to peruse the policy below.
If you would like your book reviewed, please send an email to kellysmithreviews (at) gmail (dot) com along with the following:
Your book's synopsis
Cover art (if available)
Amazon/Goodreads link (if available; if it's a pre-order or ARC, let me know that at the beginning of your email)
E-copy of your book (I accept mobi, PDF, and epub; print on certain occasions)
If you have a particular date you need the review posted by (if you have no preference, I will give you a date within the next four months; I receive a lot of requests and rarely turn anyone down, so it creates quite the backlog)
I accept all genres except for the following:
Articles/stories shorter than 1.5k words
I also do NOT accept NaNoWriMo first drafts. The book must be edited and ready to be/already published in the next few months.
I conduct author interviews, participate in release day events, post book sale notices, book/author spotlights, and host giveaways. If you need any of those services, please also state that in your email.
If you do request an interview, I will give you a specific date to have it back to me by. If you do not have it to me by the specified date, nor have you emailed me to let me know the interview will be late, it will not be posted.
Reviews are also posted on Amazon and Goodreads, as well as shared on my Twitter page. Barnes and Noble posting upon request only.
Once you submit a book to me for review, please give me up to 14 days to respond. Even if I can't review, I will always respond to every request within two weeks. Please do not resend your request before the two weeks are up.
All reviews and star ratings are final. I do not nor will I ever retract a bad review. All reviews are my expressed, honest opinion. In requesting a review, you are acknowledging the fact that I will be posting my personal opinion of your book.
In addition, I will not explain a review/rating to you further than I explain it in the review. If People Magazine or the New York Times does not give you an explanation, neither will I.
I don't get paid for this. I do this for fun because I love books and I love meeting new authors, and I remember what it was like querying blogs for ARC reviews.
I look forward to working with you all!
