BOOK REVIEW: "Through The Riptide" by Bert Murray and Phyllis Fahrie
An attractive thirty year old professional woman leaves NYC after being attacked there and finds a new job by the seashore. She has to decide whether she will date her ex-boyfriend or a mysterious new man she meets on a bus ride. Filled with passion, emotion, romance and the excitement of a summer by the sea...
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Through The Riptide is a romantic tale filled with love, laughter and woe. When you read it you will be instantly transported into the minds of the characters. Lindsey is a great female lead, a little predictable but very relatable. Her story is similar to what a lot of women go through, and I think a lot of readers will enjoy her story.
The personal crises she goes through are written very eloquently. The supporting characters, Colin (who was the star in this series previous novel) and Karl, are vastly disparate and each have their own strong personalities.
I wish I had read the previous novel, so I would be more familiar with the characters here. They are all very realistic and interesting. I feel as if I know them. This was a great book, and I think many people will like it if they are fans of Nicholas Sparks or Judy Blume.
4/5--fast, fun and touching.
