BOOK REVIEW: "Scarlett And The Feds" by S.L. Baker

Danger-Deceit-Deadly Secrets combined into an erotic elixir that will leave you wanting more…

Angelina Ellington and Victor Salvatore’s romance heats up, but the stakes have never been higher. Angelina is teetering on the edge of danger, deceit and deadly secrets. One slip and she loses the love of her life. She has the power to save the ones she loves or watch them die.
Hanging on for dear life, with seemingly no way out, every decision she makes leads to someone she loves getting hurt. Now, Angelina finds herself smack dab at the top of the Mob’s most wanted list, and with the Feds pressuring her to choose between her allegiance to Victor and jail time, she makes a deadly deal with the Feds. Angelina will need every ounce of courage her bad ass, gun slinging, alter ego Scarlett has to survive.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

After reading book one, I was glad to get the second novel from Ms. Baker. The first in the story proved to be much more than your average erotica, and I am glad to report that the second follows suit.
This is a story worthy of the big screen, with deep emotional ties and very excellent depictions of the mafia. Many writers get their facts wrong, or only get them from other fictional media. Ms. Baker wrote as precisely as she could, and the realism gives this book necessary grit.
Angelina (AKA Scarett) is very complex, as we keep learning the further we read.
This is a story about love, loyalty, and danger that will keep you on the edge of your seat...when you're not fanning yourself, that is!

4/5--fun and well-written!
